This site is a co-production of the

Your comments and suggestions are welcome and encouraged.
We're pleased to announce the launch of ContraCostaMeansBusiness.com ... a new comprehensive web portal designed to be relevant specifically for entrepreneurs, business owners and managers in Contra Costa County. This is a cooperative and collaborative effort also intended to benefit every business services organization in the county by improving the visibility of the information, resources, services and expertise each organization has to offer.
There's a wealth of information, resources, services and expertise available from so many sources to assist business owners in our county, but they're scattered over a myriad of URLs. From business tools to student interns, local economic data to employee training programs, microloans to volunteer mentors ... this new web portal is the only URL you'll need to remember for doing business in Contra Costa.
Our goal is to support entrepreneurs in their challenging effort to start new businesses while also serving the needs of established business owners and managers. By making access to locally relevant information conveniently available at one location on the Web, you'll be able to find what you need faster and you'll be exposed to much more that you may also find useful.
We believe that through this web portal the public, private and non-profit sectors can come together to promote and support Contra Costa County as a great place to do business because "Contra Costa means business!" This site is a work in progress so we'll be upgrading and expanding the content and the design frequently. We envision this portal as an "open source" project much like other on-line collaborative efforts. Therefore, please suggest new topics, recommend sources of information, comment on our organization and/or design, etc., so please take our on-line survey - we want your feedback and suggestions.
We encourage you to check back periodically to see what's new!
Thank you!

Bob Lanter, Executive Director Workforce Development Board of Contra Costa
